Cleidothaerus albidus (Lamarck, 1819) is a bivalve mollusc that belongs to the family Cleidothaeridae. It is the only known member of both its genus Cleidothaerus and its family Cleidothaeridae. This species is endemic to southeast Australia, the North Island of New Zealand, and the Chatham Islands.
