Clania ignobilis, commonly known as the faggot case moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Psychidae. It can be found in the Australian states of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria. Adult males of this species have a wingspan of approximately 30 millimeters, while females are completely wingless. The larvae of Clania ignobilis feed on plants from the Eucalyptus, Betula pendula, Callitris, and Pinus genera. Larvae build a silken case that measures between 40 and 50 millimeters long; they live and pupate inside this case.
