Cladonia caespiticia (Pers.) P.Gaertn., B.Mey & Scherb. is a widespread and common species of fruticose, cup lichen that belongs to the family Cladoniaceae. It was first described under the name Baeomyces caespiticius by German mycologist Christiaan Hendrik Persoon in 1794. Heinrich Gustav Flörke later transferred the species to the genus Cladonia in 1827. In North America, its common name is stubby-stalked Cladonia.
