The flower stalks (peduncles and pedicels) and sepals are covered in long white hairs, and the flower style is short. Cistus clusii Dunal is native to north Africa, the western Mediterranean region, and the central Mediterranean region. Its native range includes southern Spain, the Balearic Islands, south-east Italy, and Sicily.
