Cisthene picta, commonly known as the pictured lichen moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. It was first described by William Barnes and James Halliday McDunnough in 1918. This species is found in the United States, ranging from Texas to Arizona. Its habitat occurs in deserts. The wingspan of Cisthene picta is approximately 18 mm. Adult moths are active in flight from August through October each year.
