Cirrhilabrus punctatus, commonly known as the dotted wrasse, is a species of wrasse native to the western Pacific Ocean. Its range extends from Papua New Guinea and Australia to Tonga and Fiji. This species lives on coral reefs, found at depths between 2 and 35 meters (6.6 to 114.8 feet), though it most commonly occurs between 5 and 28 meters (16 to 92 feet). It reaches a maximum total length of 13 centimeters (5.1 inches), and is sold in the aquarium trade.
