The white-bellied sunbird (scientific name Cinnyris talatala A.Smith, 1836), also called the white-breasted sunbird, is a bird species belonging to the family Nectariniidae. This species has been recorded in Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its distribution range extends from Angola to southern Tanzania, and continues south into southern Africa. Within this southern African range, it is common to locally abundant across northern Namibia, northern and south-eastern Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini, and north-eastern South Africa. It generally favors semi-arid savanna woodland habitats, including Acacia woodland, bushwillow (Combretum) woodland, riparian thickets, Zambezi teak (Baikiaea plurijuga) woodland, and mixed miombo (Brachystegia) woodland.
