About Cicendia filiformis (L.) Delarbre
Cicendia filiformis, also known as yellow centaury or slender cicendia, is a species of flowering plant in the family Gentianaceae. This species grows around seasonally-flooded pools, along rutted tracks, and on acid grassland heathlands with sandy or peaty soils. It thrives best in areas with free-roaming grazing animals and few competitive plant species. It is often found growing alongside other declining plant species, including three-lobed water-crowfoot (Ranunculus tripartitus), chaffweed (Anagallis minima), allseed (Radiola linoides), and pillwort (Pilularia globulifera). It is most common in Western and Mediterranean Europe, and can also be found in southern parts of Australia.
