About Chthamalus antennatus Darwin, 1854

Chthamalus antennatus, commonly known as the six-plated barnacle, is a species of intertidal barnacle that occurs in eastern and southern Australia. This species grows to approximately two centimetres wide and one centimetre high. It is found on coastal rocks, most commonly positioned at or above the high tide level, or just below the splash zone. It only feeds during unusually high tides.
