About Chrysothemis melittifolia (L.) M.M.Mora & J.L.Clark
Chrysothemis melittifolia (L.) M.M.Mora & J.L.Clark is a plant species belonging to the Gesneriaceae family. This species is endemic to the Lesser Antilles and Trinidad and Tobago. Mature individuals grow up to 30 cm tall, with leaves ranging from 1 to 8 cm in length, and produce flowers that are reddish-pink or purple. Before being reclassified under the genus Chrysothemis as C. melittifolia, this plant was previously assigned to several other genera, including being named Episcia melittifolia and Nautilocalyx melittifolius.
