Chrysothamnus depressus Nutt., commonly known as long-flowered rabbitbrush, is a North American species of flowering plant. It belongs to the tribe Astereae of the plant family Asteraceae. This species is native to the southwestern United States, specifically growing in the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. It inhabits dry canyons, rocky crevices, and similar environments in regions such as the Mohave Desert and the Colorado Plateau. Chrysothamnus depressus is a branching shrub that reaches a maximum height of 50 cm (20 inches). It produces large, dense clusters of small yellow flower heads. Each flower head contains only disc florets, with no ray florets present.
