About Chrysopsis subulata Small

Chrysopsis subulata, commonly known as the scrubland goldenaster, is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family that is native to North America. It has only been found growing in Florida. This species is a biennial herb that can reach up to 70 cm (28 inches) in height. It typically produces 1 to 5 branching stems. Both its stems and leaves are either hairless or covered in very fine, scattered hairs. Each individual stalk can produce up to 70 yellow flower heads arranged in a loose cluster. Chrysopsis subulata grows in sandy, grassy habitats.
