The wingspan of this moth measures 7 to 9 millimeters. Its known host plants are species from the genera Chenopodium and Atriplex. Chrysoesthia drurella occurs most commonly in agricultural areas. This moth produces two generations per year: the first generation emerges in May and June, while the second emerges in August and September.
