Chrysochroa fulminans is a beetle species that grows to around 30 to 40 millimetres, or 1.2 to 1.6 inches, in length. Individuals of this species have a glossy body surface with iridescent coloring that ranges from green to reddish or violet. This beetle occurs in regions ranging from Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines to Papua New Guinea.
