Chrysanthia superba Reitter, 1872, is a species of beetle that reaches a body length of 6โ€“9 millimetres (0.24โ€“0.35 in). Members of this species have quite elongated overall body shapes. Their head is also elongated, with strongly protruding eyes. Their antennae are long and thread-like. The pronotum is elongated and heart-shaped, with a deep groove along its front edge. The elytra are densely punctured and marked with four longitudinal ribs. The legs and antennae are dark in color. Adult individuals have metallic green elytra and a metallic orange pronotum. This species of beetle occurs in Spain, Portugal, and North Africa.
