Pycnochromis retrofasciatus, commonly called the black-bar chromis, is a species of the genus Chromis that is native to the Western Pacific Ocean. This fish occasionally enters the aquarium trade, and reaches a maximum length of 4 cm. Its accepted scientific name is also cited as Chromis retrofasciata Weber, 1913.
