This grasshopper occurs across the Palearctic region, spanning through Russia and Kazakhstan, reaching east into Siberia and north as far as Denmark. It is a rare species in the British Isles. In Central Europe, this species is typically found at altitudes ranging from 300 to 600 m (980 to 1,970 ft).
