About Chondrula tridens (O.F.Müller, 1774)

Chondrula tridens, formally described by O.F. Müller in 1774, is a species of air-breathing land snail. It is a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk belonging to the family Enidae. Three subspecies are recognized for this species: Chondrula tridens eximia (Rossmässler, 1835), Chondrula tridens martynovi Gural-Sverlova & Gural, 2010, and the nominotypical subspecies Chondrula tridens tridens (O. F. Müller, 1774). The species has a Pontic and southern European distribution, and confirmed occurrences are recorded from the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
