This species occurs across southern and eastern Africa, with confirmed populations in Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It reproduces via oviparity, meaning it lays eggs.
