Chionodes fuscomaculella is a moth species that belongs to the family Gelechiidae. This species is native to North America, with confirmed records spanning from Nova Scotia and Quebec in the north, down to Florida in the south. It has also been recorded in south-western Wisconsin, eastern Texas, and eastern Oklahoma. The forewings of Chionodes fuscomaculella are covered in scattered brown dusting that clusters into irregular spots and blotches. The larvae of this moth feed on Quercus macrocarpa, Quercus rubra, Fagus grandifolia, and species in the Carya genus.
