This moth is found in North America, with recorded locations including Illinois, Ontario, Quebec, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Texas, and Arkansas. Adults have a wingspan measuring 20 to 40 mm, and the larvae reach a length of 25 to 40 mm.
