About Chilara taylori (Girard, 1858)

Chilara taylori, commonly known as the spotted cusk-eel, is a species of cusk-eel. It occurs along the eastern Pacific coast, ranging from Washington, United States to Ecuador, and can be found at depths down to approximately 280 metres (920 ft). This species reaches a maximum total length of 40.4 centimetres (15.9 in). It is the only known member of the genus Chilara.
