About Chicobolus spinigerus (Wood, 1864)

Chicobolus spinigerus is a millipede species that is commonly called the ivory millipede or Florida ivory millipede. It is native to the southeastern United States, and can be found across the entire Florida Peninsula and Panhandle, as well as in southern parts of Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. Mature males of this species typically measure between 40 and 85 mm (1.6 to 3.3 inches) in length, while females can reach up to 90 mm (3.5 inches) long. This species is the only member of the genus Chicobolus.
