About Chenopodium pratericola Rydb.

Chenopodium pratericola Rydb. is a species of flowering plant in the goosefoot family, with the common name desert goosefoot. It is native to most of western and central North America. It grows in many types of open habitat, including sagebrush, and it often grows on alkaline soils. This species is an annual herb that reaches 65 to 75 centimeters tall, and it sometimes grows branches. It has a powdery texture, most noticeably on its leaves and flowers. Its leaves are oval to lance-shaped, and some of its leaves are lobed. Inflorescences grow both in the leaf axils and in panicles at the tip of the stem.
