Chanodichthys erythropterus (Basilewsky, 1855), commonly called the predatory carp, redfin culter, or skygazer, is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Xenocyprididae, which includes East Asian minnows and sharpbellies. The geographic range of this species extends from the Amur River south to Taiwan and the Red River, and it is also found in Lake Buir in Mongolia. It can grow to a maximum length of 102 cm (3 ft 4 in) and reach a maximum weight of 9 kg (19 lb 13 oz).
