Chaetogastra longifolia is a flowering plant species that belongs to the family Melastomataceae. Its native range extends from Mexico, through the Caribbean, and into northern South America. This species has multiple previously published synonyms, one of which is Tibouchina longifolia. It was first formally described in 1797 by Martin Vahl, under the original name Rhexia longifolia.
