About Chaerophyllum colensoi (Hook.fil.) K.F.Chung

Chaerophyllum colensoi, commonly known as mountain myrrh, is a species of flowering plant that is endemic to New Zealand. This species can be found on mainland New Zealand as well as the Chatham Islands. It is a perennial plant. In the North Island, it grows in alpine environments, and it occurs throughout the South Island. It grows either near ephemeral water sources or along the edges of tarns. The major threats to its survival are weeds and changes to hydrology caused by different land uses. The type specimen of this species was collected from New Zealand by William Colenso.
