About Chaenopsis ocellata Poey, 1865

Chaenopsis ocellata, commonly known as the bluethroat pikeblenny, is a species of chaenopsid blenny. It inhabits coral reefs in the western Atlantic Ocean. This species reaches a maximum total length of 12.5 centimetres, which is equivalent to 4.9 inches. It is also sold commercially in the aquarium trade. Its scientific name, Chaenopsis ocellata, was first published by Poey in 1865.
