This species, scientifically named Cercocebus agilis A.Milne-Edwards, 1886, is commonly called the agile mangabey. Its fur is short and has a dull, overall olive-grey color. The hairless skin covering its face and feet is blackish. This species shows clear sexual size dimorphism: adult males measure 51 to 65 centimeters (20 to 26 inches) in length and weigh approximately 7 to 13 kilograms (15 to 29 pounds), while smaller adult females measure 44 to 55 centimeters (17 to 22 inches) in length and weigh 5 to 7 kilograms (11 to 15 pounds).
