Cephalanthus glabratus is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the coffee plant family, Rubiaceae. It is native to South America, and a common local name for it is sarandí colorado. This species was first formally described by (Spreng.) K.Schum., and its description was published in 1888 in volume 6(6) of Flora Brasiliensis on page 128. Its known synonyms are Buddleia glabrata Spreng., Buddleja glabrata Spreng. (which serves as the basionym), Cephalanthus sarandi Cham. & Schltdl., and Cephalanthus tinctorius Rojas Acosta.
