About Centrocoris spiniger (Fabricius, 1781)
Centrocoris spiniger, the species described here, reaches an adult length of 6–10 millimetres, or 0.24–0.39 inches. Individuals of this species are light brown in color. Their rostrum extends all the way to the posterior end of the body. The sides of the pronotum are slightly arched, and the posterior margin of the pronotum bears prominent teeth. This species is very similar in appearance to Centrocoris variegatus. The key distinguishing feature that sets Centrocoris spiniger apart from Centrocoris variegatus is that Centrocoris spiniger has longer antennae. This species occurs across most of Europe. Its distribution also extends into the Middle East and Central Asia.
