Centranthus macrosiphon Boiss. (synonym Valeriana macrosiphon) is commonly known as long-spurred valerian, an annual herb in the Caprifoliaceae family. This plant has an erect growth habit, and typically reaches a height between 0.1 and 0.4 metres, or 0 and 1 foot. It produces pink, red, or white flowers when it blooms in spring and early summer. The species is native to Northern Africa and southwestern Europe, but it has become naturalised in many other areas, including the south west of Western Australia.
