About Cenopis pettitana (Robinson, 1869)
Cenopis pettitana (Robinson, 1869), commonly known as the maple-basswood leafroller, is also referenced under the synonym Sparganothis pettitana. It is a moth species that belongs to the family Tortricidae. This species is native to eastern North America, where its distribution ranges from Nova Scotia in the north down to Florida in the south, and extends westward as far as Texas. The wingspan of adult maple-basswood leafroller moths measures approximately 20 mm. Adults of this species are active in flight between the months of May and July, and there is only one generation produced per year.
