Leaves are elliptic or oblong in shape. Their upper surface ranges from pale to mid-green, and may be covered in fine hairs when the leaves are young. The lower leaf surface is cream-colored. This plant produces flower heads that have white ray petals and yellow disc florets. Its fruit is a fusiform-cylindric, ribbed achene, and the fruit’s pappus is made up of bristles of unequal length.
