About Cellana strigilis (Hombron & Jacquinot, 1841)
The shell of Cellana strigilis reaches 80 mm in length, 68 mm in width, and 32 mm in height. This marine species is endemic to New Zealand. It is found around Stewart Island, Foveaux Strait, and the east coast of the South Island extending north to Kaikōura. It also occurs in waters off Auckland, Snares Island, and Campbell Island.
