About Cedrela montana Moritz ex Turcz.
Cedrela montana Moritz ex Turcz. is a tree species that typically grows up to 25 meters tall, rarely reaching 50 meters in height, with a trunk covered in fissured bark. Its leaves are imparipinnate, ranging from 20 to 55 centimeters long, and bear leaflets that are ovate-elliptic, ovate-oblong, or sometimes oblong in shape. Inflorescences of this species measure between 12 and 30 centimeters long, and hold clusters of small flowers. The flowers are greenish-white to creamy when fresh, and fade to yellow as they age. The largest known individual of this species, named "Cedro Gigante", grows in Pico Codazzi National Monument in eastern Venezuela. This specimen reaches 47 meters in height, has a girth of 22 meters, and only minor buttressing.
