About Cedestis gysseleniella Zeller, 1839

Cedestis gysseleniella is a moth species that belongs to the Yponomeutidae family. This species can be found across Europe and in parts of Russia. The wingspan of adult Cedestis gysseleniella ranges from 11 to 13 millimeters. Adults are active on the wing between June and July, with the exact timing varying based on location. The larvae of this moth feed on the following plant species: Abies alba, Abies fabri, Pinus mugo, Pinus sylvestris, Pinus tabuliformis, and Pinus contorta. While Gershenson and Ulenberg's 1998 publication listed Vaccinium myrtillus as a host plant for this species, the later 2015 work by Lewis and Sohn considers this listing to be suspicious.
