Cebysa leucotelus Walker, 1854, commonly known as the Australian bagmoth or lichen bag moth, is a moth species that belongs to the Psychidae family. This species is found in New Zealand and the southern half of Australia, specifically in Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia. Like other bag moths in the Psychidae family, the larvae of Cebysa leucotelus construct a protective bag structure. Their diet consists of lichen and algae. Lichen bag moths first arrived in New Zealand from Australia in 1981, and have since been gradually spreading across the country.
