About Ceanothus parryi Trel.
Ceanothus parryi is an erect shrub that reaches a maximum height of close to 5 meters. Its new woody growth is reddish brown and woolly; as it ages, the wood darkens and most of the hairs are shed. This evergreen species has alternately arranged, oval-shaped leaves with glandular teeth along the edges. The upper leaf surfaces are dark green and hairless, while the undersides are paler and woolly. The inflorescence is a long cluster of deep blue flowers that grows up to roughly 15 centimeters long. The fruit is a smooth, 3-lobed capsule just a few millimeters long.
