About Cauchas fibulella (Fabricius, 1787)

Cauchas fibulella is a day-active moth that belongs to the Adelidae family. This species is found across most of Europe, but has not been recorded from Portugal, Ireland, Iceland, most of the Balkans, Belarus, southern Russia, or the Mediterranean Islands. Males of the species have a wingspan of 8–8.5 millimeters, while females have a wingspan ranging from 7.9–8.6 millimeters. Adult moths are active from May to June. The larvae of Cauchas fibulella feed on Veronica chamaedrys and Veronica officinalis.
