Catocala angusi Grote, 1876, commonly known as Angus' underwing, is a species of moth that belongs to the family Erebidae. This moth is distributed across a range in eastern and central North America: it occurs from Massachusetts and Connecticut in the northeast, south to Georgia in the southeast, west to Arkansas and Kansas in the central region, and north to Illinois and Michigan in the northern Midwest. The wingspan of adult Catocala angusi ranges from 60 to 74 mm. Adults are active in flight from July to October, with the timing varying based on the location. The larvae of this species feed on Carya illinoinensis and Carya ovata.
