Catocala adultera is a moth species belonging to the Erebidae family. It was first formally described by Édouard Ménétries in 1856. This moth is distributed across northern Europe, ranging from Siberia to the Russian Far East—including Altai, Ussuri, and Amur—and also occurs in Mongolia. The wingspan of Catocala adultera adults measures between 73 and 80 millimetres, which equals 2.9 to 3.1 inches. The larvae of this species feed on Populus tremula.
