The Sinai rosefinch, with the scientific name Carpodacus synoicus (Temminck, 1825), is a species of finch in the family Fringillidae. Male Sinai rosefinches have a pink face and breast, along with a whitish forehead and crown. Females are pale gray-brown across their entire body, with a whitish belly. This species is found in the Sinai Peninsula and the Negev region of the Middle East, within the territories of Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Its natural habitat is hot deserts. The pale rosefinch is sometimes treated as a subspecies of the Sinai rosefinch. The Sinai rosefinch is the national bird of Jordan.
