About Carex grisea Wahlenb.
Carex grisea, commonly called wood gray sedge or inflated narrow-leaf sedge, is a widespread flowering plant species belonging to the family Cyperaceae. It is native to eastern Canada, and the central and eastern regions of the United States. This species resembles Carex amphibola, and the two grow together in alluvial forest areas. Where the two species co-occur, Carex grisea is typically found in sandier, more alkaline soils.
