About Carex capitata Sol.
This species of sedge, scientifically named Carex capitata Sol., grows in either loose or dense clumps, and reaches heights between 10 and 35 centimeters. Its leaves are quill-shaped, narrow, and tightly rolled. The inflorescence is typically no longer than one centimeter, and holds both several male and several female flowers. It can reproduce both sexually by seed, and asexually by vegetative growth via rhizomes.
