About Carex bushii Mack.

Carex bushii, commonly called Bush's sedge, is a species of the sedge genus Carex. It is native to the eastern United States, where it grows in natural grassland areas. It can be distinguished from three similar species—Carex caroliniana, Carex complanata, and Carex hirsutella—by its pistillate scales, which are at least as long as the perigynia, the covering that encloses the achene.
