Lectotype (designated by Marhold in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 121: 125 in 1996): [icon] "Nasturtium alpinum minus Resedae foliis" in Bauhin, Prodr. Theatri Bot., page 45, published in 1620 (refer to page 107). Epitype (designated by Marhold in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 121: 125, fig. 3 in 1996): Collected in France, at Porte - Puymorens, Col de Lanoux, at an altitude of approximately 2,400 m, between 4 - 17 August 1974, by A. Polatschek (specimen number s.n., stored at W).
