Capparis canescens Banks ex DC. grows as a shrub or small tree reaching a maximum height of 4 meters (13 feet). Its oval leaves measure 4.5โ10 cm (1.8โ3.9 in) in length and 2.5โ6 cm (0.98โ2.36 in) in width. The species produces 3 cm (1.2 in) long white flowers, whose buds bear four distinct prominent ridges. Its round fruits have a diameter of 2.5โ7.5 cm (0.98โ2.95 in). This plant is found primarily in eastern Queensland, with its range extending into northern New South Wales, where it grows in open eucalypt forest.
