Canthigaster compressa, commonly called the compressed toby or fingerprint toby, is a demersal marine fish in the pufferfish family Tetraodontidae. This is a small species, reaching a maximum length of 12 centimeters. It has a wide distribution across tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It lives in shallow sandy or silty lagoons, harbours, and channels at depths ranging from 2 to 12 meters, and is active during the day.
