This fungus is ectomycorrhizal, meaning it forms a symbiotic relationship with two plant species: Coccoloba uvifera (seagrape) and Coccoloba diversifolia (pigeonplum). Its known distribution includes the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Mexico, and Florida, United States.
